NDN Time

Year: 2026
Medium: Four channel video, 4K, Stereo, Synchronous loop
Duration: 16m:31s

Excerpt from NDN Time (2026). NDN Time is a four-channel video work examining non-linear time from a nêhiyaw cosmological perspective. In the film, the voice of Tyson's grandfather Ken Roan offers a reflection on the nature of time being intrinsically tied to rhythms within the land.

Exhibited at Dazibao Gallery in Montreal as part of the solo exhibition also titled NDN Time in the fall of 2026. This work, along with the wider exhibition project, is a reflection on the nature of diffracted time, geologic time, and the animate consciousness of matter, expressed through nêhiyaw teachings on cyclical interpretations of time that are rooted in connections to land.
